With the Budget session of Parliament flagging off after an all-party meeting on January 31, preparations are in the final stages in the Union Finance Ministry. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2022-23 in a paperless form.
Marking the final stage of the Union Budget making process, instead of the customary halwa ceremony in the light of the ongoing pandemic and health security concern, sweets were given to core employees due to "lock-in" at their workplace, informed the Finance Ministry. A series of tweets.
The ministry also mentioned that the Union Budget 2022-23 will be available on the mobile app after it is presented before the Parliament. The Ministry said that the "Union Budget Mobile App" provides easy and quick access to the information of the Union Budget to all the stakeholders. The mobile app is bilingual and available on both Android and iOS platforms, and can also be downloaded from the Union Budget web portal. Union Budget web portal http://indiabudget.gov.in will make all budget documents available for download.
The Finance Ministry's press statement said, "In a historic move, the Union Budget for 2021-22 was delivered in a paperless form for the first time. A "Union Budget Mobile App" was also launched for hassle-free access to budget documents by Members of Parliament (MPs) and general public. The Union Budget 2022-23 will also be available on the mobile app after the completion of the budget presentation process in the Parliament on 1 February 2022.
"The mobile app allows full access to 14 Union Budget documents including Budget Speech, Annual Financial Statement (commonly known as Budget), Demands for Grants (DG), Finance Bill etc. as prescribed by the Constitution. The mobile app is bilingual (English and Hindi) and is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
