Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor Wedding : Tie a Not at Ranthambore

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are going to tie the knot in April 2022. According to a recent report, the preparations for Alia-Ranbir's wedding are in full swing. The news of Alia and Ranbir's marriage has been coming for a long time. Earlier there were reports that both would get married in December 2021.

Now, ETimes has learned that Ranbir and Alia are planning an April 1 wedding and the initial preparations have begun in both the Kapoor and Bhatt families. The report further added: "Those in the know believe that Ranbir-Alia will choose to get married in Ranthambore, Rajasthan as this is where the two have spent the most holidays and it is a favorite place for both of them."

Notably, Ranbir's ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif also chose Ranthambore as her wedding destination. Katrina married Vicky Kaushal at Six Senses Resort Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur.

Earlier, a report in BollywoodLife claimed that the two have canceled their destination wedding plans and will tie the knot in Mumbai. A source close to Alia told bollywoodlife.com, “Alia and Ranbir cannot have a destination wedding but will get married in Mumbai. The couple will tie the knot in the presence of their near and dear ones, they don't want to have a grand wedding. It will close as Ranbir and Alia are both very private individuals." The source also added that Ranbir's uncle and Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt would not be able to travel far for their wedding, so the couple called off the plan. Decided on a destination wedding.

One of the reasons for the delay in Alia and Ranbir's marriage was reportedly their upcoming film Brahmastra. The makers, as well as Ranbir and Alia, want the film to release before exchanging their wedding vows. As per the latest update, the film is scheduled to release in September 2022.

Alia and Ranbir will share screen space for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra'. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Alia is gearing up for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' these days.
